Leadership Guide on AI: Fresh Thinking + 3 Experiments

The world doesn't stand still, and neither should you.

Two weeks ago, I was in the audience at CogX Festival on Leadership hearing from incredible thought leaders on what's changing> Here's some fresh ideas direct from leading thinkers ranging from senior leaders at Google, Open AI, HSBC to policy makers to people tackling the very real issue of Deep Fakes through to Innovators and Entepreneurs.

Uncharted: What really is the future of leadership in a rapidly evolving world?

This is a complex and nuanced question that is not best served with superficial answers.

It requires depth and thinking.

It requires a body of evidence, of stories, of boundary breakers, of visionary thinkers and the teams who work hand in hand with them to make them happen.

My intention is to write a series of articles exploring different sectors, and businesses who are embracing audacity, resilience, and forward-thinking.

How to Turn Setbacks into Comebacks: A Guide for Leaders

Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit - Napoleon Hill

There’s a passage in Ernest Hemingway’s novel The Sun Also Rises in which a character named Mike is asked how he went bankrupt. “Two ways,” he answers. “Gradually, then suddenly..

How do you feel about your work and what the future looks like?

On a scale of 1-10 where 1 is “Uncertain as f**K, and 10 is "rock solid, bring it on”, where do you score?

If I asked those you work with, what would their range of answers be?

I’m scared of the water.

What are you fearful of?

What do you put off and ignore?

I think we can all relate to having something we seek to avoid.

Let me share something personal, something I’ve never shared publicly before.

It’s this: I’m scared of the water.

Specifically swimming in the sea and feeling out of my depth.

Sound like a contradiction for someone who became known for sailing 2 1/2 times round the world?
